Access Authorization

For network/server access, management authorization is considered a given when your manager requests the local system administrator to open an account for you.

The manager's notification may be verbal, written, email, or an overall direction that covers all current and future group members. It is up to the line manager to work with the system administrator to determine the amount of system and data privileges users may have.

To authorize access to systems which are not within your organization, the owning organization's line management must approve the access either verbally or in writing.
