Releasing Computer SystemsRemember, you must contact your OCSR and your property representative before moving or salvaging any computer equipment. For sensitive, non-classified data or open computing, user files must be deleted. The operating system and legally transferable application software should be left intact. KSL will review these systems for usability and clean up systems as appropriate. For classified or UCNI computing, all magnetic media (including internal hard disks) must be removed and destroyed in compliance with the procedures in the LANL Cyber Security Sanitization Procedures before being excessed or salvaged. |
