Protecting Your Email

Always be mindful that email on the protected unclassified network should never be used for transmitting classified information. Contamination of unclassified systems with classified information via email is a severe cyber security incident. Sensitive data can be sent via email but care should be taken to verify the recipient's need-to-know and to notify them of the data's sensitivity.

More information on LANL's various networks and protecting sensitive information is presented later in this course.
